5/6 Baseball

May 1, 2007 cut-off date

This is a boy’s baseball league with fundamental play encouraged. Kids will get 3 coach pitched balls to hit and then hit from the tee if contact isn’t made. Multiple coaches in the field encourage the correct play. This is a non-competitive league with no score or standings kept.

There is no pre-season grading and coaches select players for their team via a draft. As all Carrollton teams are selected via a draft, we cannot ensure friends or classmates will be on the same team. Siblings will be placed on the same team unless otherwise requested.

The ball used in this league is an Incrediball – it looks exactly like a baseball but just isn’t as hard. Players may use any 2 ¼” diameter baseball bat. Big barrel bats (typically 2 5/8” or 2 ¾” are NOT allowed.

Carrollton provides a team hat and shirt and access to helmets and bats.

I am proud to have Brian Lawrence and Greg Kolenovsky assist in coordinating this league. Should you have any questions, please contact Brian, Greg (their contact info is on the bar at left) or myself; and we will be happy to assist.
