The Carrollton Boosters Board encourages our members to become active "Buddies" in the Miracle League.

Beginning in September of 2009 the Miracle League will be playing baseball at the new facility in Audubon Park. This is an exciting time for players, coaches buddies and fans. Starting September 12, the dream will be a reality. Our opening day is set, all the Miracle League needs players and volunteers. For the fall league wants 96 players and buddies, along with coaches and umpires. The league promises to be a great experience for the players, getting to live out their dream of getting to play baseball.

The Miracle League Buddy is one of the most exciting volunteer opportunities available. The Miracle League shares the sport with the opportunity to interact with the players who possess one or more special needs. While all of us vary in our experience level with the Miracle League, some or most of us may be very new when it comes to interacting with children with special needs. This is a great opportunity for you to experience the game of baseball with someone who has been dreaming of getting the chance to just be a kid.

Being a buddy is an 8-week commitment, but you are not just making a commitment to the league, you are making a new friend. There is nothing more special than sharing this experience with a child who is getting to play ball for the first time. All buddies need to be 12 years or older to help.
