June 6th is Carrollton Boosters Youth Night with the Jesters

The New Orleans Jesters, the region’s minor league soccer team, will hold a special Carrollton Boosters (CB) Youth Night when they take on Chattanooga FC this Saturday, June 6th at 7 p.m. at Pan American Stadium in City Park.

This special club night is meant to recognize and celebrate the outstanding seasons and effort of all Carrollton Boosters sports teams.
All Boosters players will receive free entry to this weekend’s game versus Chattanooga FC by wearing a team jersey or t-shirt and be recognized by the announcer during the game.

This weekend marks a celebration not only for the success of the teams across the Carrollton Boosters Club, but also for the quality, that the club provides to the youth of New Orleans in their programming. As an organization, Carrollton Boosters provides outstanding recreational sports opportunities for their members. Thank you Boosters board members, coaches, parents, and players for continuing to provide and be the best at operating recreational sports programs in New Orleans!

“Carrollton Boosters has been a great supporter of the Jesters; it plays a very important role in the developmental process of our young soccer players. Jesters share great affinity with the Boosters and in partnership, we have been able to raise the level of soccer in New Orleans. Hopefully, many Boosters players will go on to someday represent the New Orleans Jesters in the minor leagues. We have benefited greatly from our partnership and we are glad that our local players can strive to play at the next level for their hometown. We are delighted to have the family of the Carrollton Boosters at the Jesters NPSL game this coming Saturday,” said New Orleans Jesters Head Coach Kenny Farrell.
Bring your family and join us for some exciting Minor League soccer! We look forward to seeing you there!

PLEASE CONSIDER SUPPORTING A CARROLLTON BASEBALL AND SOCCER FAMILY

Mickey LeBlanc, father of 9 year old twins Braydan and Joshua Leblanc (who play both baseball and soccer at Carrollton), has been battling stomach (carcinoid) cancer for close to a year. He has undergone several surgeries and treatments and unfortunately this year has been in the hospital for all but a week or two - when he mustered the strength to make it to The Fly to see the boys play a soccer game. Much of Mickey's time in the hospital since March has been in ICU which is where he is now.

Amazingly, the boys' mother Pam has managed to work full time as a nurse at Children's Hospital, care for Mickey in his hospital and still get the boys to school on time and to all of their practices at Carrollton. Since they live in Belle Chasse and Mickey's oncologist works out of Kenner Regional Hospital some days finding time to get the boys dinner can even be a challenge.

Please consider making a donation today to help out this Carrollton family. ANY amount is greatly appreciated. The link follows below:

Tulane basketball camp June 15-18

Tulane is offering a basketball day camp for boys and girls k-8th grade. Online registration here. Hardcopy flyer is on our download page. Tulane is offering a $50.00 discount to Carrollton Booster families. The online registration cannot handle the discount. Parents may either register online and can receive a rebate on the first day of camp, or they can send in a hard copy registration form with a $150 check.

Banner Sponsorships

The 2015 Carrollton Boosters Banner Sponsorship program is now underway. The 2010 move to our Riverview baseball/softball facility in Audubon Park has been wonderful for our programs. The Riverview facility, which we operate year-round, provides an excellent opportunity for your company/institution banner to be on display to the thousands who visit and participate at Carrollton and also provides recognition of your strong support for the recreational sports programs run by our organization.
This year we are producing new 8’ x 4’ powder-coated, light aluminum banners on which your company’s name and/or logo will be displayed. These new banners will hold up against the weather and wind conditions experienced along the River and will be strategically visible to all who visit our Riverview facility.
Our annual banner fee is $700 (renewals $600) and includes the preparation of your banner. You may also designate a preference as to which field on which your banner will be displayed and we will accommodate you if possible.
In order to complete this process, simply do the following:
1. If we do not already have your logo/information on file, please email a copy (as you would like it to appear on the banner) to our Development Coordinator, Megan Beer DevelopmentCoordinator@CarrolltonBoosters.org. All logos/artwork must be sent in a eps, ai, tif or high resolution pdf file. Please put in the email subject line: “Carrollton Boosters Banner Program”.
2. For a new logo and/or artwork, you will have an opportunity to approve and review before production.
3. Please remit payment to: Carrollton Boosters Club, Inc. - P.O. Box 850106 - New Orleans, LA. 70185-01060 - Attn. Banner Program. We can supply our tax ID # upon request if you do not already have this information on file.
As always, please let us know if you have any questions and thank you for your support of Carrollton Boosters!
